Everyday Innovators is a programme enabling Anchor House residents to explore their issues about money and work, and to develop practical solutions to address their aspirations in relation to them.

Learning Power Awards

This is a flexible course which aids to tracks personal development, and encourages the learner to look at the learning process (learning how to learn, and taking control of this learning). The course content will be drawn from activities carried out by learners as part of their daily lives. The learner will progress through five modules, selected from a repertoire of activities including: Handling conflict, Coping with challenge and Making myself understood.

This course will recognise progress towards specific learning aims, which in many cases will incorporate the acquisition of valuable specific skills (e.g. learning to manage a personal budget). Virtually an infinite range of activities can be creatively built into this programme.

The Michael Whippman Prize

Anchor House recently won the Michael Whippman Prize, a national award for Service User Involvement. As one of judges put it "Anchor House just had to win it so that every one will be aware of all the amazing things that are being achieved there."
